Verbania Pallanza is famous for the marvellous, extensive botanic gardens of Villa Taranto, founded in 1931 by Captain McEacharn, whose labours produced this amazing result. The garden has plants in flower from March to November, an enchanting sight for visitors.
Verbania also has Villa Giulia, a beautiful mansion which now hosts the Centre for Research into Current Art, as well as Villa San Remigio on the Castagnola Hill, from where there is a marvellous view over a great part of Lake Maggiore.
